Sheffield Arena

Date - 27.02.15

I was a little aprehensive about how somebody would live upto the one and only Freddie Mercury , Others had tried and Paul Rodgers did a very good job in my opinion so when Adam Lambert ex American idol got the nod to tour with Queen i was a little intrigued to say the least. However when the Curtain was lifted he stood with arm pointing to the sky as if to remonstrate ( this is for you ) to the opening song ONE VISION He nailed it , all the apprehension went the kid is a real star with a voice although at times very similar to the legend Mercury but yet still very unique and different . With no support act infront of them this was an early start however the crowd were very soon into it , A mixed bag of ages had filled the Arena

and some i spoke to on the front row had been at nearly every show of the tour , Lambert banged out hits from the past in a set list of 27 songs they covered title such as Radio Gaga , Who wants to live forever , We are the champions , Dont stop me now , Under pressure , Killer Queen to name but a few . Brian May worked the strings just as you would expect him too infact with ease its actually really relaxing watching someone playing guitar when there is very little effort needed to make it sing. All in all i loved this show and im very pleased i was given the oppertunity to photograph it .
